Wedding Photography Fusion at Touchstone Resort in Muskoka

Amanda + Brani | Wedding Photography in Bracebridge, ON

We met Amanda + Brani a year ago, when we provided a family photography session for the two of them, and their adorable son, Ben. Upon receiving their portraits, Amanda asked if we would be available to capture their wedding. They were still in the process of planning. No date was booked. No venue chosen. But, she had the photography and video team she wanted, so she was set. She, immediately, started asking us what dates we still had open, then proceeded to schedule her wedding around our availability. What an honour! We could hardly wait for their wedding!

Fast forward to a crisp, autumn day mid-October at Touchstone Resort, a gorgeous property on Lake Muskoka, where Amanda + Brani joined with their family and friends to become husband and wife. We brought along our super talented friend, Erika Hanchar of Rowell Photography, as a second photographer. She rocks the house! All three of us met up with Brani, and the groomsmen, in a suite on property, as they were tying ties and buttoning vests for the day. We, then, headed over to the main house to meet the ladies. Amanda was a vision of beauty, as she showered little Ben with hugs and kisses. She was radiant and ready to start.



The ceremony was held, down the path at The Boathouse, by the lake. The inside of the building was lined with colourful fall leaves along the aisle for the processional. Amanda’s father proudly escorted the glowing bride into the room to meet her husband-to-be. Amanda + Brani said their vows, through laughter and tears. They exchanged rings and sealed their union with a kiss, a shared drink, and a foot-stomping breaking of the glass. After the ceremony, all the guests traveled downstairs to the dock for a group photo.







Their creative session was so much fun! The sky was a magnificent shade of grey, but you could see brilliant glimpses of sunbeams shooting through the massive clouds. The trees sparkled with vibrant colours, as the light kissed each leaf. It was a stunning scene, made all the more beautiful by the smiles of the exuberant newlyweds. Raindrops began to pour from the sky, but nothing could dampen their spirits. It is obvious to see that Amanda + Brani are so in love!























Time for the reception. Amanda + Brani were announced into the room, along with their bridal party, then shared their first dance. The hall was packed with loved ones from all over the country, gathered together, to celebrate this special day. The speeches, in between dinner courses, spoke of great friendships and heart-felt joy for the couple. The night ended with the cutting of the cake and a father/daughter dance that turned into a dance party for the entire room. Everyone jumped up, arms raised in the air and circled the dance floor. It was a great night!
