Wedding Cinema at The Toronto Hunt Club in Toronto, Ontario
Caitlin + Lucas | Wedding Cinema in Scarborough, Ontario
One of the reasons why we love our job is because we get to meet some pretty incredible couples with super sweet love stories. Caitlin + Lucas just happen to be one of those couples. They grew up in the same small town. Two years ago, her brother introduced the two of them and the rest is history. This is their wedding story.
We started at De La Salle Heritage House, a stunning castle in the heart of Toronto, to meet with Caitlin and the ladies. The house was abuzz with activity, as they finished their hair and make-up, then proceeded to get into their silk dresses. Caitlin was the picture of elegance and grace in her gorgeous gown. The gentlemen were waiting at The Toronto Hunt Club for the women to arrive. Once the limousine arrived on site, Caitlin + Lucas shared an intimate first look on the lawn. After a few moments together, the couple headed over to the expanse of trees for bridal party and family portraits. Once the creative session ended, Caitlin + Lucas headed to a table (filled with fruits, appetizers and champagne) under a gazebo by the water for a private picnic. Then, came the storm.
Everyone rushed inside to make arrangements for an indoor ceremony in the foyer. Liz and Danielle, the extraordinary event coordinators of Gush Events, calmly and quickly rearranged the space with the help of the staff and designed a beautiful environment for the ceremony. Caitlin + Lucas declared the love for one another with hand-written vows. They were pronounced husband and wife, and walked up the aisle hand-in-hand, while their family and friends waved their belled ribbons in the air.
The stringed instruments serenaded the crowd during cocktail hour. Caitlin + Lucas mingled with their guests, as the ballroom was prepared for the reception. Everyone was welcomed into the room by the emcees and the festivities began. Loved ones shared stories and toasts throughout dinner courses, and the couple thanked their guests for being a part of their wedding day. Immediately following dessert, Caitlin + Lucas headed outside to the back patio. Sparklers lit up the tent, as everyone surrounded the couple for their first dance. Once the dance ended, Lucas jumped onstage to join the live band for a song. He (and his fellow groomsman on keys) sang a rock star rendition of “Come Together” to kick off the party. It was a night to remember.
Thank you Caitlin + Lucas for allowing us to capture your beautiful wedding day! We wish you both all the best on your life adventures.
