Melody + Callum | Wedding Cinema in Minett, ON



Melody + Callum are a delightful couple. After chatting briefly on Skype audio last September, we knew we wanted to document their special day. This is their wedding story.

PREPARATION
We were so excited to finally meet Melody + Callum in person. Paul spent the early part of the afternoon with Callum and the guys, as they lounged in their room at JW Marriott. All the gentlemen looked dapper in their deep gray suits with coral accents. Melanie hung out with Melody and the ladies down the hall. Their effervescent personalities, and joy-filled enthusiasm, was such a treat. The ladies lip-synced to The Backstreet Boys on YouTube (choreography included) before getting into their gorgeous gowns. Then, it was time to head down to the lawn for the ceremony.

CEREMONY
The ceremony was held on the perfectly manicured lawn of the majestic resort. Callum’s father masterfully officiated the service. Melody + Callum pledged their love for one another with hand-written, heart-felt vows. The two were pronounced husband and wife underneath the floral arbor. They shared a kiss, then walked hand-in-hand down the aisle as newlyweds.

RECEPTION
After the ceremony, everyone gathered on the deck for cocktail hour. A four-piece band serenaded the crowd with smooth jams, while people milled about and snacked on delicious finger foods. The bridal party traversed down to the dock for portraits, then the guests made their way to the beautifully decorated Rosseau ballroom.

The bridal party creatively entered the room for the grand entrance. This, was followed by a touching first dance by Melody + Callum. The couple formally thanked everyone for attending. The emcees dedicated a humorous song to the couple, and this hilarious tribute was followed by a blessing over the food.

Great speeches expounded on the love story of Melody + Callum. Dear words, from family and friends, were spoken in between courses. Once dessert was served, the sweet table and photo booth opened for business. The bridal party headed out for a wardrobe change. The ladies re-entered the room for the tea ceremony in vibrantly-coloured Chinese attire, while the dads sported kilts. Guests lined up to partake in the traditional ceremony. Participants wished the couple many blessings and presented the couple with gifts.

The tea table was removed and the chairs were taken away. It was time for the parent dances and an anniversary dance. The DJ put a vinyl on the turntable and the audience moved to classic, old-school tunes. You could tell that everyone was having a good time!
