Jason + Kristi are married! You may remember Kristi + Jason from their sunset engagement session in Barrie, Ontario last May, where we spent the evening with them and their adorable furry friend, Rocky, at a local beach. We even filmed their love story (more about that surprise to come!). Fast forward to their wedding day at the majestic Deerhurst Resort in beautiful Muskoka country. This is their wedding story.

We arrived at Deerhurst Resort on a perfect spring morning to meet up with the ladies and gentlemen, as they prepared for the big day. The guys were bustling about putting on their vests and jackets, while sharing delightful anecdotes and making jokes. The ladies were dressing and finishing their hair and make-up next to the “selfies” table (with posted portraits to remember the fun moments of the morning). Kristi was a vision of beauty, as she slipped into her stunning Enzoani gown. When her “Papi” saw her in her dress for the very first time, he was awe-struck. Tears filled their eyes. It was a beautiful moment.

The entire bridal party departed the resort and traveled fifteen minutes away to downtown Huntsville, Ontario for the ceremony at St. Mary of the Assumption. Jason + Kristi were pronounced husband and wife, as cheers and applause echoed in the sanctuary. Everyone headed back to Deerhurst Resort for the creative session and cocktail hour in the Pennisula Room. Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and conversation, while we spent a few moments with the family and bridal party for portraits. Then, it was time for the grand entrance. And what an entrance! Remember the love story video we mentioned earlier in the blog? Well, Jason + Kristi thought it would be a wonderful surprise for their loved ones–all gathered in one place–to view the video before their grand entrance (see video below). Everyone cheered as the happy couple entered the room and went straight into their choreographed first dance! The evening’s festivities commenced with heartfelt toasts, a delicious dinner, parent dances and a dance party! It was such a fun night!
