Adam + Laura | Wedding Photography Fusion in Muskoka, Ontario

Adam + Laura were married at their family home on a gorgeous, warm summer day! The last time we visited the cottage up north was for their winter engagement session–a much different climate, yet still a splendid scene. Today, was perfect Plan A weather for a cottage wedding by the lake. This is their story.

PREPARATION
We started with the guys at a local hotel in Bracebridge. They were gathered together in the room, taking selfies and bustling about with anticipation for the events to come. Adam opened a gift from Laura, which she lovingly packaged in personalized, custom-designed wrapping that detailed the things she loves about him. So thoughtful! We left the gentleman, and headed over to the family cottage by the lake to see Laura and the ladies. The atmosphere was one of relaxation and ease, as the ladies finished their make-up. The dresses were hanging by the window on hangers that Laura had twisted herself! The ladies slipped into their dresses, Laura greeted her grandparents at the door with a hug as they entered the room, and she headed out to see Adam for the first look.

CREATIVE SESSION
We began the creative session with a first look on the front path of the back entrance (or the main entrance depending on who you talk to). Laura walked down the stone steps and tapped Adam lovingly on the shoulder. He turned around and was mesmerized by her beauty. They stood together hand-in-hand fully engaged in the sweet moment. We headed over to the neighboring lawn for family and bridal party portraits before the shuttle bus of guests arrived. The bridal party popped a bottle of bubbly and celebrated the day with a toast.

CEREMONY
Guests emerged from the bus and enjoyed refreshing beverages and yummy hors d’oeuvre provided by Feast. Everyone made their way to their seats and the processional began to play. Laura walked down the grassy hill with her proud father, then linked arms with her grandfather, and the two of them escorted the lovely bride down the aisle. Adam + Laura recited their own special vows to one another, exchanged rings, and kissed. At last, they were husband and wife!!

RECEPTION
Guests mingled on the lawn, and partook in a “Polaroid-style” photo booth under the arbor. Everyone made their way over to the tent for the grand entrance. The crowd cheered as Adam + Laura walked together, with arms in the air, to the dance floor. They performed a beautiful, choreographed dance number, then made their way to the head table. While each table was treating themselves to the delicious buffet dinner, we brought Adam + Laura to the lake for stunning sunset portraits. After dinner, the parents and couple gave their speeches and it was time to dance. A great ending to a great day!
