Engagement Photography Session in Midhurst, ON

Amanda + Matt Engaged!

What can we say about Amanda + Matt? We absolutely adore them! It’s true. They’re joyful, and fun personalities, are contagious. You can’t help but smile whenever you’re around them. When we found out they got engaged, we were so happy for them! And, when they asked us to capture their big day, we were over the moon. You see, we’ve known them for a couple of years now. We first met the happy couple at the wedding of their good friends, Kori + Gareth. From there, they made special appearances (as members of the bridal party and/or guests) at several other weddings we’ve had the great pleasure of capturing over the years. That’s why Paul was so thrilled to get to spend the evening with the two of them at their engagement session.

They arrived at our place here in Barrie. We greeted them at the door with fresh, out-of-the-oven, delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies as an after session treat.

Amanda + Matt suggested some pretty amazing spots for photographic locations in, and around, Barrie. First, they found a serene river in Midhurst, where they often take long walks with their beloved dog, Denver. These two are not afraid to go the extra mile to get some great portraits. They, even, walked barefoot in cold water (which may, or may not have been filled with snapping turtles)! The outcome was totally worth it! We love these images!



















We made our way back up the hill to the main road (it definitely seemed much easier walking down to the river, rather then walking back up)! From there, we headed over to Amanda’s parent’s place, which backs onto the grounds of the Barrie Golf & Country Club. We got to spend a few moments with Denver in the front lawn. As you can see, he had a great time posing for the camera.
