Heather + Nathaniel | Wedding in Blue Mountains, ON

When we were contacted by good friends of Heather + Nathaniel about filming their wedding day, we could hardly wait for October to roll around to finally meet this incredible group of friends. Heather + Nathaniel would be married on their seven year anniversary… exactly.

This is their wedding story.

PREPARATION
We met Heather + Nathaniel at The Westin Trillium House in Blue Mountains, ON. Heather was hanging out in her room with the ladies, as they all were finishing their hair and make-up. The guys decided to play a competitive round of mini golf in The Village before heading over to the resort to prepare for the day.

CREATIVE
This was our first time working with the fiercly talented Kathy DeMerchant (wedding photographer and relative of Heather) – check out her gorgeous photos from the wedding here.

We had such a great time, despite abundant rainfall. Heather + Nathaniel shared their first look, privately, on the second level of The Westin. It was a tender moment between the couple. Nathaniel couldn’t take his eyes off of Heather in her dress. After the first look, it was time for a fun photo session with the bridal party.

CEREMONY
Heather + Nathaniel gathered among their loved ones for an intimate ceremony at the Toronto Ski Club. The couple wrote their own vows and declared their love for one another, before making it official with a kiss.

RECEPTION
The reception was held in an adjacent room at The Toronto Ski Club. Guests mingled in the lounge, taking Polaroids of themselves, and hanging them on a miniature framed clothesline. Everyone headed inside for the grand entrance and a delicious meal. Toasts were given throughout the evening from their family and friends. Then, it was time a touching first dance and parent dances. The music started pumping and everyone joined the couple on the dance floor. What a party!
